The GOAL: Freedom – Peace, Wholeness and Fulfillment of Spirit, Soul and Body

The American Heritage Dictionary* defines freedom as:

I Wanna Get Free

We all have basic needs for fundamental freedoms. The more we are able to enjoy these freedoms, the more happily, civilly and sanely we are able to live, individually and therefore corporately.

So where does this site come in? How do we want to be free?

If I’m correct, I think we’d all like to be free in spirit, soul and body, from all oppression, and as stated above, from all “unpleasant or onerous” conditions:

  • We want to enjoy all the privileges of birth and being – the experience of a full and healthy life.
  • We want to be free to exercise choice, self-determination.
  • We want to be free from the tyrannical exercise of authority in every area of our lives.
  • We want a free and clear mind and life.
  • We want flow – ease of movement through life.
  • We want to free our souls with the joy and self-affirmation of authentic self-expression.

Fundamental Human Needs

If you’re like most people, you want to:

  • be healthy and of sound mind
  • be financially secure and provided for
  • feel safe and at peace
  • experience love and harmonious connection with others
  • be “somebody” – the best “YOU” you can reasonably be
  • feel happy and fulfilled
  • feel confident and in control of yourself
  • be free to make the choices that influence your life
  • feel secure with yourself and your life
  • feel free from the fear of losing these fundamental things

Freedom or Bondage

As I see it, anything less than these constitutes bondage in one area or another, and settling for such is living beneath our privilege and God-given birthright.

Not only that, but any bondage in one area causes problems in other areas. And too much bondage can cause a downward spiral that affects:

  1. how we live our individual lives
  2. our families and others to varying degrees
  3. society subtly by extension.

A World Affair

A lot of subtle negativity and insecurity adds up to a more stressful, less secure, less happy, even frightful world. Yet it happens so gradually, we aren’t even aware of the effect that people’s individual issues have on society at large, which in turn affects everyone’s lives. The cycle continues, picks up momentum and takes on a life of its own.

Before we know it, we’ve got a dog-eat-dog world with more fear, isolation and selfishness and less real communication, cooperation and understanding; resulting in increasing fear, self-protection, desperation, crime, hatred, rioting – put plainly, a big mess.

Breaking Free from the Chains

We each have our own life challenges to deal with. So with this in mind, and as little as we are in the grand scheme of things, what can we really do about it? Well, we can’t control everything, but we can control our own part. We can control that which falls under our authority.  We can control what we let run through our minds and operate through us.  We can control what we choose to focus on and how we choose to understand things – our meditations and thoughts, and therefore our attitudes, actions and even habits.

We can control whether or not we choose to learn to empower ourselves. Learning to develop mental and spiritual self-mastery and inner freedom helps us more effectively deal with our own issues and situations, create more harmonious relationships with our world, magnetically attract better circumstances, and even rise above or deflect inharmony. At the same time, we more positively influence our children, families, and all of our spheres of influence by improving ourselves.

A Community Matter That Begins at Home and Really Starts with US

Individuals are the building blocks of families. Families are the building blocks of churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, businesses, civic and social organizations, etc. These are the building blocks of the community, government and the world.

If little individual miscalculations are what have gradually brought us all to the larger chaos of society, then it should follow that little improvements according to proper calculations/formulas can gradually bring us back home. And if collectively we do so with a sense of purpose or any urgency, we should get home to peace and order in our world much more quickly than we casually and unwittingly sauntered into chaos … or at least we can experience it ourselves in our own personal lives – our own microcosm, so to speak.

So let’s just reverse the trend. We cannot control what others do, but we can control who we choose to be and what we do – what we choose to express in the world. We can explore and apply new ways of ensuring that our own experience of life is a peaceful, authentic and fulfilling one. In so doing, we are not only improving our own personal worlds, but THE world around us. This can only bring back to us further improved circumstances in life.

Yet it starts with each of us individually being a light to our own worlds (our own manifestation of consciousness in our circumstances around us in our own lives), by finding the inner light of wisdom, understanding, and by cultivating the inner strength, beliefs, confidence and joy that improve our own individual experiences of life. …And letting that light shine.

A Brighter World

The happier and more productive we can become, and the less problems we get caught up in, the happier the important folks in our lives will also become (or be challenged to become). Those who learn what’s working in your life can apply it to their own, and be happier too. And it can only spread from there. It has been said that “It only takes a spark to get a fire going.”

So that’s what this site is about – becoming free in every area of our lives, individually and corporately.

The Dream is Attainable

I believe our dreams of freedom, peace, love, joy, health, prosperity, and perfect self-expression CAN actually become a reality. But we will have to be the ones to start the ball rolling and cause it to happen. And Together Everyone Achieves even More. Here we will focus on ideas for relating with one another and ways to attain our dreams.

“The dream is attainable.Keep that idea in mind. I want to encourage you not to let anyone take that hope from you. Keep dreaming, and don’t quit. There’s no man so lost as a man without a vision and hope. I’m reminded of a motto, the origin of which I’m not aware: “Winners never quit and quitters never win.” There’s no way any dream can come true unless we first dare to dream, believe, and take steps acting as if we believe.

It is my hope that you will begin to see possibilities you may never have considered, and that together we will learn to reign triumphantly over every seeming obstacle that stands in the way of a truly fulfilled SpiritFREE Life™.

I hope you’ll see fit to join me on this journey. If you think you might be up for it, The PHILOSOPHY would be a good place to start. Cheers!
